Entry Requirements

The applicants' English proficiency for the English program should meet IELTS 6.5/TOEFL 85

I AM ISATOU KASSAMAA A 39 YEAR OLD GAMBIAN LADY.
I STUDIED POLITICAL SCIENCE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF THE GAMBIA AND OBTAINED MY MATERS IN PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION FROM THE GHANA INSTITUTE MANAGEMENT AND PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION.
PRESENTLY I AM THE DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH AND LIBRARY DEPARTMENT OF THE GAMBIA NATIONAL ASSEMBLY. THE DEPARTMENT HAS STAFF CAPACITY OF 15 INCLUDING THE DIRECTOR (MYSELF).
THE REASONS FOR THIS REQUEST IS AS A LEADER I WANT TO HORIZON MY PROJECT MANAGEMENT SKILLS. LEADING A GROUP OF PEOPLE THAT PROVIDE NATIONAL MEMBERS WITH INFORMATION FROM THE AREAS OF STUDIES IN THE EXECUTION OF THEIR DUTIES. THERE ARE TIMES WHEN THE PARLIAMENT DEBATE OVER DOCUMENTS THAT ARE PROJECT RELATED AND AS A RESEARCHER ONE MUST BE VERSATILE IN ORDER TO DELIVER AS EXPECTED.
I ALSO WANT TO DIVERT MY CONCENTRATION FROM PUBLIC ADMINISTRATION TO PROJECT MANAGEMENT TO HELP ME KNOW OW PROJECTS ARE IMPLEMENTED FROM THE BEGINNING TO THE END.

Currently I am doing my bachelors from China, i am inspired by the culture norms of the country which is really attractive to me and the friendly environment. Secondly, I am from Pakistan, and getting a Masters from a competent university in china will really help me in my future endeavors. Studying ICPM in Tsinghua will give me a high level of skills and knowledge on construction industries and also china government construction companies are participating in my country through CPEC, in future I can get opportunity to work with international construction companies in Pakistan.

Program Description
The Department of Construction Management is part of the School of Civil Engineering that is one of China's leading institutions for teaching and research. The School has international profile with leading researchers working across many disciplines. The Master of Engineering in International Construction Project Management (ICPM) program aims to broaden and deepen students' knowledge of contemporary issues in the leadership, strategic management, and delivery of international projects to provide value to stakeholders and society as a whole. The unique characteristic of this program is to expose students to a new way of thinking, and to create awareness of how Chinese organizations operate, manage, and delivery projects in the fast-changing world. The program is practice-oriented. Students will be taught to think creatively, to be innovative with new ideas, and to use tools and techniques for effective management of projects. This is a unique opportunity to embrace Chinese culture and thinking and to engage in the world of international construction.

The ICPM puts China into the context of the global construction market (infrastructure, residential, healthcare, education, commercial, public and private projects). If you want to understand and know more about the Chinese market and how it manages the design and delivery of projects, this program is for you.

The program will be delivered by professors from universities and organizations Department of Construction Management, Tsinghua Universityfrom all over the world with experience in the field of construction project management.
The Logic of ICPM Education
ICPM Framework
The program is usually completed in 1.5-2 years. Students are required to complete a minimum of 25 credit hours of course work, as well as a master thesis for a degree in master of engineering. Students who have met all pertinent graduation requirements are awarded a certificate of graduation entitled the Mater of Engineering.

*1. Passport information page (Ordinary passport)
Individuals who previously held Chinese nationality and subsequently acquired foreign nationality are required to provide either a Certificate of Cancellation of Chinese Household Registration (Hukou) or a Certificate of Renunciation of Chinese Nationality, or a Certificate of Non-Chinese Nationality issued by a Chinese diplomatic mission/consulate.
*2. Passport photo
A recent passport-sized photo of the applicant.
*3. English proficiency test certificate
For example, IELTS or TOEFL, only for applicant whose native language is not English.
*4. Two academic recommendation letters
Two academic recommendation letters from scholars who hold the title of associate professor or higher, or senior professionals in a related academic field.
*5. Personal Statement
In English or Chinese.

Master's degree program applicants should submit the academic transcript of their undergraduate study. Applicants who will not graduate before the application deadline shall provide their current academic transcript.In this case,the completed academic transcript must be submitted before registration.
All uploaded documents should be in Chinese or in English; otherwise notarial translations in Chinese or English are required. Once translated, the original documents and certified translations should be submitted together to the application system.*7. Bachelor's degree diploma
